How to choose the structure classification of CNC toolholder

The structure of TOOL HOLDER of CNC machine tool is divided into integral type and modular type.

The working part of the clamping tool of the integral tool handle is integrated with the handle used for fixing and positioning on the machine tool. This kind of toolholder has poor adaptability to the transformation of machine tools and parts. In order to adapt to the transformation of parts and machine tools, users must reserve various specifications of toolholders, so the utilization rate of toolholders is low.

Modular tool system is an advanced tool system. Each Tool Holder can be assembled by a series of modules. According to different machining parts and machine tools, different assembly schemes can be adopted to obtain a variety of toolholder series, so as to improve the adaptability and utilization rate of toolholder.

The selection of tool handle structure should take into account the advanced technology and reasonable economy

① For some simple tools which are used repeatedly for a long time and do not need to be assembled, it is better to equip with integral toolholder to make the tools rigid and cheap (such as end mill toolholder, Spring Collet toolholder and drill collet toolholder used to process the outer contour of parts);

② In order to reduce the processing cost, modular toolholder should be selected to replace a large number of integral boring toolholders when machining multi variety and small batch parts with constant change of hole diameter and depth;

③ There are many CNC machine tools, especially the spindle end and tool changing manipulator are different, so modular toolholder should be selected. Because the intermediate module (connecting rod) and working module (tool loading module) used in each machine tool can be used in common, the equipment investment can be greatly reduced and the tool utilization rate can be improved.
