Types and characteristics of CNC toolholder:

CNC machining has strict requirements on the rigidity, accuracy, durability and dynamic balance performance of cutting tools. In the selection of cutting tools, we should pay attention to the analysis of the structure and technology of the workpiece, combined with the processing capacity of CNC machine tools, workpiece materials and process content and other factors. 40Cr is generally used for NC TOOL HOLDER machining. The commonly used tool handles in NC machining are mainly divided into drilling tool handle, boring tool handle, milling tool handle, thread tool handle and straight tool handle.

1) When machining curved surface parts, in order to ensure that the cutting edge of the cutting tool is tangent to the machining contour at the cutting point, so as to avoid the interference between the cutting edge and the workpiece contour, the ball end cutter is generally used, while the two edge milling cutter is used for rough machining, and the four edge milling cutter is used for semi finish machining and finish machining.

2) When milling large plane, in order to improve the production efficiency and improve the surface roughness, most of them will use insert type disc cutter.

3) As for milling small plane or step surface, most of them use universal milling cutter.

4) When milling keyway, in order to ensure the dimensional accuracy of the groove, generally use two edge keyway milling cutter.

5) When machining holes, drilling tools such as drills can be used.
