Installation method and precautions of spring chuck tool holder

Before installing the Spring Collet, be sure to install the clamping spring into the lock nut, and then gently screw the clamping screw cap on the extension rod or the handle. After installing the numerical control blade, you can use a very difficult hand to clamp the capital into the work. In order to achieve good performance index, before installing the spring collet, be sure to clean the part of the external thread, locating surface and spherical surface of the spring collet and lock nut. During the whole installation process of clamping spring, the clamping screw cap must be tilted, and then gently put into the clamping cross section of the clamping screw cap.

Common problems of spring chuck handle

When the numerical control blade is clamped by the spring chuck handle to carry out drilling production, it is necessary to pay attention to the clamping spring to clamp the numerical control blade, so as to prevent the numerical control blade from flying out at high speed and causing safety production accidents. When the handle of the spring chuck is not in operation, it is forbidden to clamp the spring when installing the numerical control blade. The screw cap should be tightened on the handle or the connecting rod to prevent the deformation and brittle fracture of the spring.

The spring chuck toolholder includes the spring chuck used for clamping and positioning tools. Compared with the side fixed end mill toolholder, the spring chuck toolholder is more expensive, but it has better tool clamping and higher precision tool positioning ability. There are three types of spring collets: Er type, DA type (double angle type) and TG type (single angle type or small taper type). A spring chuck is usually only suitable for one size of tool.

The clamping range of Er type chuck is large, but the taper is small, the elasticity is large, and the matching accuracy is high. The double angle collet can be used to clamp various types of tools, while the single angle collet is specially used for the occasions where a larger clamping force is required. Most machining centers use spring chuck toolholder.
