Standard Specification for Spring Collet
Spring Collet clamp is the abbreviation of ER COLLET. It is a clamping accessory mounted on the spindle of machine tool to connect locking tools. It was invented and manufactured by Swiss REGO-FIX company and widely used in various fields of mechanical processing and clamping. Mainly used in drilling, milling, reaming, tapping and grinding.
The spring collet has 16 slots, allowing a larger clamping range and better radial runout error. It can be divided into eight specifications: ER8, ER11, ER16, Er20, ER25, ER32, ER40 and ER50, which can meet the clamping range of different tools. The accuracy ranges from 0.01 mm to 0.015 mm.
The taper of spring collet is 8. The spindle will have different forms. The standard of Straight Collet is the same, so the spindle will have different forms. All ER Collet s are precisely ground and manufactured in accordance with the German DIN 6499 precision specifications. They have 1 mm flexibility space. Firstly, the chuck is properly loaded into the nut and then locked on the tool head. The longer tool can be installed, which is more convenient to use.
