Three categories of CNC toolholder

The selection of Cnc Tool Holder depends on the process requirements. Different CNC tool holders are selected for different processing methods. The CNC TOOL HOLDER and Tool Holder should be selected correctly according to the processing capacity of the machine tool, the performance of workpiece materials, processing procedures, cutting parameters and other relevant factors. CNC tool holder selection principle is: good rigidity, high durability and precision. On the premise of meeting the processing requirements, the shorter toolholder should be selected as far as possible to improve the rigidity of CNC toolholder processing.

According to the cutting motion mode and the corresponding blade shape, CNC toolholder applications can be divided into three categories.

1. General CNC toolholder, turning tool, planer, milling cutter (excluding formed turning tool, formed planer and formed milling cutter), boring cutter, drill bit, reamer, reamer and saw, etc;
2. Forming NC tool holder. The blade of this kind of NC tool holder has the same or nearly the same shape as the cross section of the workpiece to be processed, such as forming turning tool, forming planer, forming milling tool, broach, taper reamer and various thread processing NC tool holders;
3. Machining gear tooth surface or similar workpiece, such as hob, shaper, shaving cutter, bevel gear planer and bevel gear milling cutter head, etc.

When selecting NC tool holder, the size of CNC tool holder should be adapted to the surface size of workpiece. In production, end milling cutter is often used to process the peripheral contour of plane parts; when milling plane, the tool holder used by carbide blade milling cutter should be selected; when machining boss and groove, high speed steel end milling cutter should be selected; when machining rough surface or rough machining hole, corn milling cutter with carbide blade can be selected; when machining some solid surface and variable bevel contour, ball end milling is often used The tool holder used for milling cutter, ring milling cutter, cone milling cutter and disc milling cutter.
