Working Principle Diagram of tool holder pull stud

The working principle of knife handle pull nail: one end of the pull nail is connected with the machine tool chuck, the other end is connected with the knife handle, the d part is clipped in according to the degree of the machine tool chuck, and the G part has threads and knife handle tightening. Through the axial force transmitted by the pull rod, the pull rod joint and the pull nail, the knife handle is tightened. When changing the tool, it is required to loosen the tool handle. When the pull nail is installed on the spindle of the common machine tool or the numerical control machine tool, the arc joint of the rod body is connected with the front end of the pull rod structure. The screw joint of the pull nail is connected with the inner screw hole of the tool handle extending into the spindle hole, thus realizing the use of the tool handle on the common machine tool tool and the numerical control machine tool. The TOOL HOLDER can be used not only in machining centers, but also in common machine tools and CNC machine tools, which improves the universality of the Tool Holder and reduces the production cost.

The pull nail of the tool holder is tightened. When changing the tool, the tool holder should be loosened. The automatic clamping mechanism of the tool inside the spindle is the special mechanism of the NC machine tool processing center. The drawing shows the structure of the spindle of the machining center. The cutter can be loaded and unloaded automatically on the spindle and clamped automatically. The working principle is as follows: when the cutter 2 is loaded into the spindle hole, the pull pin 3 at the back of the handle is sent to the front of the spindle pull rod. Under the action of the disc spring, the cutter is tightened by the elastic claw.


Correct Installation and Use of Machining Center Pull Nails:
All the technical parameters of the tool holder and the pull nail of the machine tool can be easily found on the front of the machine tool.
Use a special pull-nail wrench. If a movable wrench or an open wrench is used, the root of the pull nail may be worn or the neck of the pull nail may be bent. So when we install the pull nail, we need to use special pull nail wrench.

Errors in Installation and Use of Pull Nails in Machining Centers:
It is believed that the tighter the force, the better when installing the pull nails. In fact, this installation method is wrong! The installation of pull nails is too tight, long-term use will cause spindle wear, processing accuracy decline! [As shown above] In severe cases, the pull nail breaks and the spindle is damaged during cutting.

Why does too tight pull nails lead to a decline in processing capacity? Over-tightening of the pull nail will cause the bolt to deform, resulting in the reduction of the processing ability of "joints at smaller diameters".
