The collet can effectively improve the accuracy of the fixture

The chuck usually requires the superior process of tooling and fixture. The materials of most tooling and fixture structures should accept various standard parts and universal parts as far as possible, and the proportion of special parts should be as small as possible, so as to reduce the amount of manufacturing labor and cost. The structural form of various special components and parts of the collet shall be easy to manufacture and measure, and the installation and commissioning shall be simple.

The adjustability of collet structure often adopts the way of bolt fastening and pin position. When adjusting and installing the fixture, it can easily grind the length of a certain part. Adjusting washers, adjusting washers or adjusting sleeves can also be placed between parts to control the length of installation, compensate the errors of other parts and improve the accuracy of the fixture. Once the assembly standard is finished, its position and length should not be changed. Therefore, such a surface or line whose position and length still need to be adjusted or repaired in the installation process cannot be used as the installation standard.

In the test application, the collet should always be loosened and replaced. For example, in the application on the turning center, a layer of smoothing agent can be sprayed on the outside of the inner hole of the collet when loosening. It is OK to use coolant for smoothing if possible, so that the debris on the collet can be washed and a very good smoothing effect can be provided. The frequent wear can be reduced and the clamping force can be increased by punctually coating the flat grease at the locking angle of the collet. Other smoothing information can also be used, including high-quality grease or wax based information with EP (extreme pressure) performance.

With the reasonable selection of the clamping diameter and length standard of the collet, it can ensure that the collet has a large clamping force and the end of the clamping situation, and then ensure the high quality and high precision of machining. Assuming that the inner aperture of the collet is too long, it is only clamped by the orifices of the collet when the collet is closed.

There may be a geometric mismatch between the outer circle of the collet and the inner hole of the collet, thus reducing the clamping force. Assuming that the inner diameter of the collet is too long and too small, when the collet is closed, it only needs to be touched by the inner diameter of the inner hole of the collet. Even if the clamping force increases, it will result in the fact that the collet is not coaxial with the inner diameter of the collet. The utility model relates to a standard chuck, which can only be clamped and positioned for the sake of relative diameter and length.
