How do we choose the specification of the toolholder?

When it comes to the handle, people who have done machinery should be familiar with it. It is an indispensable tool in industrial machine tools and CNC machining equipment. It is estimated that everyone is more concerned about the specification selection and price of the handle. Let's take a look at the CNC handle first? CNC machining is the digital expression of the parts to be machined. The CNC machine tool controls the movement of the tools and parts according to the digital quantity, so as to realize the process of part machining.

The machined parts are represented by geometry such as wire frame, surface and solid. The cam system generates tool path based on the part geometry, generates machining code after post-processing, and transmits the machining code to the NC machine tool through the transmission medium. The CNC machine tool controls the tool movement according to the digital quantity to complete the part machining. The process is: part information - CAD system modeling - cam system generating machining code - CNC machine tool - part.

How can we better choose the toolholder suitable for our industry? The selection of TOOL HOLDER layout should be both technically and economically reasonable:

① For a few simple tools that are always used repeatedly and do not need to be assembled, it is appropriate to be equipped with an integral tool handle, so that the tool has good rigidity and low price (such as end mill Tool Holder, Spring Collet tool handle and drill collet tool handle for machining the outer contour of parts, etc.);

② When machining various and small batch parts with frequent changes in aperture and hole depth, modular tool handles should be selected to replace a large number of integral boring tool handles and reduce the old cost of machining;

③ For many CNC machine tools, especially when the spindle end of the machine tool and the tool changing manipulator are different, the modular tool handle should be selected. Since the intermediate module (extension rod) and part-time module (tool loading module) used by each machine tool can be used in general, the equipment investment can be greatly reduced and the tool utilization rate can be improved.

Users can select the varieties and specifications of tool handles according to the CNC machining process of typical parts, which can not only meet the machining requirements, but also avoid backlog.
