How to select the tool holder of CNC lathe?

In industrial production, the application of CNC lathe has requirements for the selection of tool handle. The selection of tool handle directly affects the performance of the machine tool and the processing efficiency of the whole machine. If there are too few tool handles, the machine tool will not be able to realize some operations; Too many tool handles will affect the investment. Therefore, the selection of CNC tool shank should pay attention to the method.

1. Select according to whether the handle shape of the tool handle is correct. According to the need of tool change, the spindle holes of boring and milling CNC lathes and their machining centers are mostly non self-locking 7:24 taper, but the shank matched with the machine tool is not completely unified. Some handles have a cylindrical head at the small end with a 7:24 taper. Others do not, which obviously does not meet international standards. For the tool handle of automatic tool changing machine tool, the specification of the spindle hole of the machine tool shall be consistent with the specification of the tool handle of the selected machine tool. It is required that the tool handle selected should be consistent with the specification of the spindle hole of the machine tool (No. 30, No. 40 or No. 45). Moreover, the grasping part of the tool handle shall be able to meet the shape and position requirements of the manipulator, and the shape and size of the pull nail shall match with the tensioning mechanism of the main shaft.

2. Match the quantity according to the tool handle. The matching quantity of TOOL HOLDER is related to the variety, specification and quantity of parts to be processed by the machine tool, as well as the complexity and load of the machine tool, which is generally 2-3 times of the required quantity. Because while the machine tool is working, a certain number of tool handles are being preset or trimmed. Only when the machine load is insufficient, it is twice or less than twice. 2-3 times of the tool magazine capacity of the machining center can meet the general automatic machining requirements.

3. Select according to the processing technology of typical parts on the machine tool. The number of specifications of tool handles for drilling, expanding, reaming, boring, milling, tapping and other purposes used on CNC lathes will reach hundreds. What the user buys is only a specific machine tool, so the user can only choose according to the processing technology of typical parts to be processed on this machine tool. This can not only meet the basic processing needs, but also will not cause backlog. It is an effective approach.

4. Tool handles and tools with high processing efficiency shall be selected as far as possible. If you want to give full play to the processing capacity of CNC lathe, you should try to choose tool handles and tools with high processing efficiency. For example, in rough boring, the double-edged boring tool handle is selected to replace the single-edged boring tool handle, which can not only improve the machining efficiency, but also reduce the vibration. When machining, selecting a strong Spring Collet can not only clamp the straight shank tool, but also clamp the tool with hole through the extension rod.
