Three categories of CNC tool holders

The selection of Cnc Tool Holder depends on the process requirements. Different NC tool holders are selected for different processing methods. NC tool holders and tool holders should be correctly selected according to the processing capacity of the machine tool, the performance of workpiece materials, processing procedures, cutting parameters and other relevant factors. The selection principle of NC TOOL HOLDER is: good rigidity, high durability and precision. On the premise of meeting the processing requirements, try to select a shorter tool handle to improve the rigidity of NC tool handle processing.

CNC Tool Holder series can be divided into three types according to cutting motion mode and corresponding blade shape.

1. Universal CNC tool holder, turning tool, planer, milling cutter (excluding formed turning tool, formed planer and formed milling cutter), boring cutter, drill bit, reamer, reamer and saw, etc;

2. Formed NC tool holder, the blade of which has the same or nearly the same shape as the section of the workpiece to be processed, such as formed turning tool, formed planer, formed milling cutter, broach, conical reamer and various thread processing NC tool holders;

3. Process the tooth surface of gear or similar workpieces, such as hob, gear shaper, gear shaving cutter, bevel gear planer and bevel gear milling cutter disc, etc.

When selecting the NC tool holder, the size of the NC tool holder should adapt to the surface size of the workpiece to be processed. In production, end milling cutter is often used to process the peripheral contour of plane parts; When milling the plane, the tool handle used by the carbide blade milling cutter shall be selected; When machining bosses and grooves, select high-speed steel end milling cutter; When machining the blank surface or rough machining hole, the corn milling cutter with cemented carbide blade can be selected; For the machining of some three-dimensional profiles and variable angle profiles, the tool handles used by ball end milling cutter, ring milling cutter, conical milling cutter and disc milling cutter are often used.
